- atrophy
- wasting away; a reduction in the size of cell, tissue, organ,or other body part due to a variety of fatorys such as malnutrition and/or ischemia.

- a instrument used to examine the urinary bladder and posterior urethra.

- process of examining the urinary bladder and posterior urethra
- diverticulum
- an abnormal, circumscribed pouch or sac in the intestinal wall

- Foley catheter
- a catheter placed in the bladder and retained by a balloon for thepurpose of draining urine from the bladder, trade name.

- a scale used for indicating the size of catheters and other tubular instruments, based on a measurement of each unit being approximately equivalent to 0.33 mm in diameter; ie., 1 mm = #3 French
