Give another name and what they do for the executive, legislative, and judicial branches.
Legislative is congress and they make laws.
Executive is president and they enforce laws.
Judicial is supreme court and they decide whether a law is legal.
Give 2 Ways in which amendment are PROPOSED.
2/3 of both houses of congrees can vote or 2/3 of the states can agree (33 states now and 9 then)
Give one problem the articles caused.
Many disputes arose because of raising money ( paper dollars were made but not enough gold/ silver in the banks to account for it.
How many total amendment are there and how many are in the bill of rights?
27 total and 10 are in the bill of rights.

1 House legislature, based equality, small states.

How are amendments PASSED?
3/4 of the states must vote for the amendment before its part of the constitution. (38 states now nad 10 then)

Legislative (passes laws), Executive (enforce laws), and judicial (law legal or not). 2 house legislature, based on population and favors big states.

Explain the Great Compromise. (Lower house name, upper house name, was each house based on population or equality)
THe upper is senate and thats based on population, the lower is the house of representatives and thats based on equality.
Expalin the electoral college.
Each state gets the electoral votes equal to the number of people in congress. THey vote in december in their state capitols.
Give two powers of the articles of confederation.
The power to declare war and to appoint military officers.
Define federalisim.
The sharing of power between the states and national government.

Raise Taxes (concurrent)
Explain the 3/5 compromise.
The south had slaves and the north did not. 3/5 of the slaves could be counted for representation (good for south bad for north) and taxes (bad for south good for north).
Give two weaknesses of the the articles of confederation.
Congress couldn't collect taxes and national government had no control over trade.

A document that sets out the laws and principles of a government (Written)
