- Supplementary angle
- Two angles the sum of whose measures is 180 degrees.
- Plane
- A flat surace tha extends indefinitely in al directions.
- Range
- The given measure plus or minus the greatest possible error.
- Hypotnuse
- The side opposite the right angle in a right triangle.

- Part of a line wth one endpoint.
- Qoutient
- The answer that results from the divison of the dividend by the divisor.

- An angle measuring greater than 90 degrees, but less than 180 degrees

- A number having a whole number part and a fraction part.
- Pythagorean therom
- Therom that states that the sum of the squares of the legs of a righ tringle equal the square of the hypotnuse.
- Ratio
- A comparison of two numbers by division.
- Volume
- The number of cubic unit of space a figure contans.
- Factor
- One or two or more numbers that are multiplied to form a product.
- Rhombus
- A parallelogram with all sides congruent and opposite angles congruent.
- Kilo
- A prefix meaning thousand.
- Inverse propety
- The sum of its number and it's opposite is zero. The product of a number and it's recipical is one.
- Circle
- A closed plane figure all of whose points are equidistant from a point within called the center.
- composite number
- a whole number greater than 1 that has more than two factors.
- Perpendicular lines
- Lines in a plane tthat intersect to form right angles.
- Line of symmetry
- A line that divides a figure into two congruent parts.
- Mean
- The average of a set of numbers.
- dekameter
- A unit of length in the metric system equal to 10 meters.
- Mode
- The number that appears most frequently in a set of numbers.
- Irrational numbers
- A number that can not be formed.
- Rectangle
- A quadrilateral with all angles congruent an two pairs f congruent sides.
- complementary angles
- Two angles the sum of whose measure is 90 degrees
- Perfect square
- A number whose square root is an interger.
- diameter
- A segment passing through the center of a circle with both endpoints on the circle.
- distributive property of multipication over addition
- The product of a factor times a sum can be written as the sum of the two products.
- Percent
- The ratio or comparison of a number to one hundred.
- exponent
- A number that tells how many times te base is to be used as a factor.
- conngruent figures
- Figures having the same size and shape
- Circumference
- The distance around, or the perimeter of, a circle.
- GCF
- The greatest factor that is common to two or more numbers.
- Scalene triangle
- A triangle with no congruent sides.
- cylinder
- A solid figure havinc two parallel, congruent, circular bases and a curved surface.

- A numeral that includes a decimal point, which seperates the ones place from the tenths place.
- Pi
- The ratio of the cicumference to the diameter of any circle.
- Angle
- Two rays with a common endpoint, called the vertex.
- denominator
- The denominator of a fraction names the total number of congruent or equal parts.
- Parellogram
- A quadrilateral with two pairs of parellel sides.
- Polygon
- A simple closed figure with sides that are line segments.
- Surface area
- The sum of the ares of all the faces of a solid figure.
- Alternate interior angles
- located on the oppisite sides of the tranversal and on the outside of the line it intersects
- Identity element of multipication
- One is the identity element in multipication because multypiying a number by one does not change its value.
- LCM
- The least number other than 0 that is common multiple of two or more numbers.
- Isoleces triangle
- A triangle having two opposite side and two opposite angles congruent.
- edge
- The line segment formed by the intersection of two faces of a polyhedron.
- Area
- The number of square units a reign contains.
- Bisect
- To divide a segment or an angle into congruent parts.
- equilateral triangle
- A triangle with three congruent sides.
- Median
- The middle number in a set of numbers arranged in order.
- Vertical angles
- Opposite angles formed by two intrsecting lines.
- Order of operation
- The order in which mathematical operations must be done when more than one operation is involved.
- Parallel lines
- Lines in a plane that never intersect.
- cube
- A rectangular prism with six congruent faces.

- To evaluate a mathemaical expression, replace the variable with a number, then simplify
- Inverse relationships
- Opposite operations: addition and subtraction are inverse relationships; multipication and division are inverse relationships.

- A whole number greater than 1 that has only two factors, itsef and 1.

- A polygon having all sides and angles congruent.

- The number to be divided.

- Angles that lie outside a pair of lines and on opposite sides of a transversal.

- The point in the cordinate plane where the x-axis and the y-axis intersect.

- The measure of th distance around a figure

- Zero is the identity element in addition because adding zero to a number does not change its value.

- One of four sections into which he coordinate plane is divided.
- Rational Number
- A numbr that an be written in fractional form a over b where a and b are intergers and b doe not equal 0.
- Multiple
- The product of a given and any whole number.
- divisor
- The number by wicth the dividend is divided.
