- Nebuchadnezzar
- Chaldean king rebuilt Babylon into a beautiful city. Palace had Hanging Gardens.

- Studied geometry, astronomy, charted stories, kept track of the weather, created ist calendar Overtook the Assyrian empire in 612 BC. Studied Sumerian culture, language, and gods. Studied Astronomy, charted stars, kept track of economic, political and weather events.

- Phoenicians most important achievement, developed 1st alphabet to record their activities . Our alphabet is based on this alphabet.

- a wheeled, horse-drawn cart used in battle. Allowed soldiers to quickly move around battlefield and fire arrows at enemies

- Hammurabi's Code
- 282 laws that dealt with almost every part of daily life. Some laws are still used today. Laws carved on a tall black stone for all to see.

- Became king of Babylonian Empire in 1792 BC, brilliant war leader, created a code of law , Made Babylon most important city in Mesopotamia.

- famous colony on northern coast of Africa founded by the Phoenicians
- Assyrians
- Strong army. used chariot in warfare and iron weapons, Conquered many countries. Well organiz
