Botanicals
Pyrethrum - Most widely used botanical insecticide. Oily substance from chrysanthemums.

Synthetic Pyrethroids
Pyrethrum consists of 6 distinct chemical molecules.
Chemists synthesized pyrethrin-like materials.
Incite and Bingham use this mostly.

Inorganic
Mined from the earth.
Boric acid. Cutting the waxy layers of the insects cuticle and causes death by desiccation.
Organophosphates
Most used pesticides by other companies. (The least expensive)
Inhibits and important enzyme in the nervous system called, cholinesterase.


Chlorinated Hydrocarbons
Created after WWII and a member of the DDT group. dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane
Banned in 1971 because they do not break down over time.
Fumigants
Gases or vapors. Very penetrating.
Insect Growth Regulators
Little effect on mammals. Specific to insects and closely related arthropods. Disrupts the development of reproductive organs.
