Flexors
motions- decreases angle between 2 parts of movement

EX: bend over and touch toes
Extensors
motions- increases angle between 2 parts of movement

EX: Bring body to upright position
Elevate
superiorly movement

EX: raising shoulders to ears
Depress
inferiorly movement

EX: return shoulders to normal position from being at the ears
Protract
anteriorly
Retract
posteriorly
Lateral Rotation
outward movement/rotation
Medial Rotation
inward movement/rotation
Abduction
away from body
Adduction
bring it back inward
Supination
anatomical position, palms forward
Pronation
normal, palms back
Sternocleidomastoid
Location: sternum to mastoid and clavicle to mastoid. turn the neck and its that muscle that protrudes.
Trapezius
Location: triangle/square in entire back
Rectus Abdominus
Like the cat, (washboard)
Linea Semilunaris
Bordering tendons separating abdominus from obliques
External Obliques
Same as cat

Aids rectus abdominis in flexing vertebral column; aid muscles of back in trunk rotation and lateral flexion
Rhomboids
Same as cat, middle back muscles, deep

Retracts and stablizes scapula
Teres Major
Major strip before latissiums dorsi

Adducts humerus; synergist of latissimus dorsi
Latissimus
Long flap (like cat) that runs over ribs
Infraspinatus
Same as cat- outside of scapula and below the scapular spine
Subscapularis
Same as cat- inside of scapula along the wall
Pectoralis major
Upper part of chest
Deltoid
Side of arm, large shoulder muscle
Biceps Brachii
Major muscle on top if looking down on the arm
Triceps Brachii
Bottom Muscle
Brachioradialis
outside of elbow. Inside of wrist.

Supinates the hand
Pronator Teres
Little muscle that curves under the brachioradialis

Pronates hand
Triangle of ausculatation
Thinnest layer of muscle. Triangle area below traps.
Antecubital Fossa
Fossa on inside of elbow.
