The study of the smallest living things. (less than 0.1mm) Which is the limit of things we can see with the naked eye. ( can be divided in 6 branches)

the study of unicellular animal types

the study of the immune system; how it works to protect us in a microbial world and how it can be used as diagnostic tool to identify disease organisms ina man
Fungi
can be fuzzy and white, green or sometimes black
*cotton candy like texture
hyphae
the cell (eucaryotic)are growing end to end to create lilaments called hyphae
Mycelium
the circular mold itself, body of mold
Budding
Fungi exists as a unicellular form called yeast which can divide by budding.
Dimorphic
Able to assume 2 forms yeast and mold

Unicellular or multicellular
colonial types usually arenamed by their color green, blue grean (cyanobacteria),brown, yellow,flame like colored (dinoflafellates =red tide)

Chagas diseas, Giardia, Entamoeba (amoebic dysebtery)
Auger

Fastidious bugs
These bugs are very picky and fussy and will not grow on blood/ do not have teeth
