The root word is
the foundation of the word
The suffix is
the word ending. All medical terms have a suffix.
The combining vowel is
usually o. Link the root to the suffix or the root to another root. The combining vowel O is dropped before a suffix that starts with a vowel is added.
How do you read a word?
start from the suffix then move to the beginning of the term.
