- The root word is
- the foundation of the word
- The suffix is
- the word ending. All medical terms have a suffix.
- The combining vowel is
- usually o. Link the root to the suffix or the root to another root. The combining vowel O is dropped before a suffix that starts with a vowel is added.
- How do you read a word?
- start from the suffix then move to the beginning of the term.
