mercurial
adj - lively or active; tending to change suddenly and unpredictably
meretricious
adj - 1 bright or attractive on the surface, but of no real value. 2 false and insincere
palpable
adj - easily detected; obvious
pungent
adj - 1 said of a taste or smell: sharp and strong. 2 said of remarks or wit, etc: cleverly caustic or biting
satiate
verb - to gratify fully; to satisfy to excess
sate
verb - to satisfy (a longing or appetite) to the full or to excess
sycophant
noun - someone who flatters in a servile way
commensurate (with)
adj - 1 in equal proportion to something; appropriate to it. 2 equal in extent, quantity, etc to something
grandiloquent
adj - speaking, or spoken or written, in a pompous, self-important style
inhibition
noun - a feeling of fear or embarrassment, caused by emotional or psychological factors which prevents one from acting, thinking, etc freely or spontaneously in some way
inhibit
verb - to make someone feel nervous or frightened about acting freely or spontaneously, eg by causing them to doubt their abilities
militate (against)
verb - said of facts, etc: to have a strong influence or effect
pariah
noun - someone scorned and avoided by others; a social outcast
sensibility
noun - 1 the ability or capacity to feel or have sensations or emotions. 2 a delicacy of emotional response; sensitivity

noun - rashness or boldness; an unreasonable lack of fear
