There are 3 types of reports submitted for evaluations?
(Regular reports) are submitted periodically per the schedule.
(Concurrent reports) provide a record of significant performance in additional duty or temporary addiditonal duty status
(Operational Commander reports) are optional
What are the Administrative Blocks?
blocks 1-19, 21-27, 44 (FITREP) and 48 (EVAL) these identify the report, and define the context.
What should go in the comment block?
Comments should be based on verifiable facts. Numerical rankings among peers is authorized.
Can there be a change or Supplement on a report after it is submitted?
Yes, the reporting senior can, for good cause, submit an administrative change or evaluative supplement within 2 years from the ending date of report.
How long must reports be retained?
The reporting senior must retain copies of FITREPS on all officers and chief petty officers for at least 5 years. The command must retain enlisted FITREPS and Evals for 2 years.
What does the acronym C.A.P stand for?
Command Advancement Program
What paygrades are eligible for the CAP Program?
eligible E-3,E-4, and E-5 to the next higher paygrade.
What are the requirements to be eligible?
Active duty must be permanently or temporarily assigned(minimum of 30 consecutive days)to a command designated as a sea duty.
